
Simalungun, North Sumatra – The Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (Itjen Kemhan) conducted an Oversight and Inspection (Wasrik) of the Yonif TP 901/Suhul Gading development project in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, on Thursday, July 22, 2026. The inspection was carried out to ensure that the development works were progressing in accordance with applicable regulations, technical specifications, and established targets.
The inspection was attended by Colonel CPM Sihol Tambunan and Colonel Navy Bambang of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense; Colonel CBA Rinaldo Sinaga of the Inspector General of the Indonesian Armed Forces Headquarters; Bambang Ismanto of the Ministry of Defense’s Construction Center; Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Ibnu Anwar of Kodam I/Bukit Barisan Inspectorate; Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Agus Rangkuti, Commander of Kodim 0207/Simalungun; Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Mahmud, Commander of Yonif TP 901/Suhul Gading; Captain Arh. Jr. Sianipar of the Kodam I/Bukit Barisan Planning Staff; and Second Lieutenant Czi Sayed Fauzan, Head of the Engineering Supervision Affairs Division of Kodam I/Bukit Barisan.
The inspection began with a project presentation by PT BIRU SISTEM PERKASA (BIRU) as the project implementation partner, supported by the DED team. The presentation covered the latest project progress, field conditions and challenges, mitigation measures, as well as the Recovery Plan prepared to support the acceleration and completion of the project.
During the presentation, the Inspector General’s team commended the project’s progress, which had reached 69.56%, taking into account the prevailing conditions and dynamics at the project site. The achievement reflects BIRU’s continued commitment to maintaining project implementation while addressing challenges encountered throughout the construction process.
Following the presentation, the inspection team conducted a site walkthrough to review various areas of the development. The team examined the completed building structures and supporting facilities and expressed its appreciation for BIRU’s workmanship, particularly in terms of quality and overall worksite neatness.


The inspection continued with a review of the Yonif TP 901/Suhul Gading Marshalling Area, focusing on the readiness and condition of supporting facilities within the project area.
The Oversight and Inspection concluded with a review of the project’s administrative documentation to ensure the completeness and conformity of records supporting the implementation of the works.
Overall, the inspection was conducted smoothly, with the Inspector General’s team expressing appreciation for the progress, quality, and workmanship demonstrated by BIRU. The technical notes provided during the inspection serve as important inputs for further evaluation and improvement, ensuring that the Yonif TP 901/Suhul Gading development continues to progress in accordance with applicable technical standards and requirements.
Through the Oversight and Inspection process, BIRU continues to demonstrate its commitment to quality, timely delivery, and accountability in executing strategic projects, while ensuring that every stage of construction is carried out in accordance with established standards and requirements.
