Agam Regency, West Sumatra – BIRU received a working visit from the Commander of Korem 032/Wirabraja, Brigadier General TNI Aji Mimbarno, S.A.P., M.A., at the construction site of YTP 897 Singgalang in Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The visit was part of the monitoring and evaluation of the project’s execution to ensure that construction proceeds according to plan, meets technical standards, and effectively supports the operational needs of the Indonesian Army.
Also present at the activity were the Chief of Logistics (Kasilog) of Korem 032/Wirabraja, Lieutenant Colonel Czi Bambang Irawan, S.T., M.I.P.; Commander of Kodim 0304/Agam, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Viko Hendrika Sandro, S.I.P., M.Si.; and Commander of Yonif TP 897/Singgalang, Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Saor Jonathan Lumbanbatu, S.S.T.Han., S.I.P., M.H.I. The presence of the leadership line-up demonstrates strong attention and commitment toward the successful construction of a strategic facility that will support the operational readiness of units in the Korem 032/Wirabraja area.
The activity began with a direct inspection of the construction area to observe the progress of the work on-site. During the inspection, the entourage reviewed several work locations while gaining a comprehensive overview of construction progress, execution quality, the implementation of work standards, and the readiness of each ongoing construction phase.
In addition to conducting the field inspection, the Danrem and his team held a coordination meeting with the project implementation team. Discussions focused on various challenges encountered during the construction process, including technical aspects, on-site work execution, and coordination among the involved parties. The discussion was held openly and constructively, allowing every issue to be well-mapped in order to achieve the appropriate solutions.
During the forum, various strategic steps were also discussed to accelerate the completion of the construction without compromising the quality of the work. Each alternative solution was evaluated based on implementation effectiveness, time efficiency, and alignment with the established technical specifications. This approach is expected to maintain a balance between accelerating project completion and meeting construction quality standards.
One of the main focuses of this visit was evaluating the construction quality. All work was reviewed to ensure that the construction process met the required standards for military facilities, ranging from structural aspects and work quality to alignment with the operational needs of the end users. This evaluation is an essential part of ensuring that the facility being built offers optimal reliability, safety, and long-term support capabilities.
For BIRU, this visit serves as a highly positive momentum to strengthen communication and coordination with all stakeholders. The feedback provided during the field inspection acts as valuable evaluation input to enhance the quality of work execution while ensuring every stage of construction remains on track with the planned targets.
The entire series of activities proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly. Through close coordination among Korem 032/Wirabraja, Kodim 0304/Agam, Yonif TP 897/Singgalang, and BIRU as the project executor, it is expected that the construction of Yonif TP 897/Singgalang will continue to progress optimally until completion in line with the established targets.
