Cathodic Protection Installation Becomes a Strategic Milestone in the Revitalization of the Sei Pakning Small Craft Port

As a marine structure operating in a highly corrosive environment, the port is continuously exposed to seawater, high salinity, humidity, and tidal fluctuations, all of which accelerate the corrosion of steel components. Therefore, in addition to ensuring construction quality, implementing an effective corrosion protection system is essential to maintaining the structural integrity, safety, and long-term performance of the facility.

Cathodic Protection is a corrosion control technology that mitigates the electrochemical reactions responsible for steel corrosion. During project execution, BIRU's construction team carried out the Cathodic Protection installation in accordance with approved work procedures and technical specifications.
