
Sigi, Central Sulawesi – The Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia conducted a Supervision and Inspection activity to review the progress of defense facility construction in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, on August 12, 2026.
The inspection was conducted as part of an oversight and evaluation process to ensure that the construction works were carried out in accordance with applicable requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and operational needs in the field. PT BIRU SISTEM PERKASA (BIRU) was represented by President Director Cendra Perkasa and Project Director Faizin Nahar, along with the project team.
The activity began with a presentation by BIRU as the project implementation partner, covering the current work progress and Recovery Plan. During the presentation, BIRU outlined the latest project developments, progress achievement, as well as acceleration measures and strategies to support the timely completion of the project.
The Inspectorate General Inspection Team expressed its appreciation for the project progress, which had reached 30.490%, taking into consideration the conditions and dynamics encountered during implementation. The recognition serves as encouragement for the project team to maintain performance while continuing efforts to accelerate the subsequent stages of construction.
Following the presentation, the Inspection Team conducted a site inspection to directly assess the physical progress and quality of the construction works. The inspection covered several facilities and work areas, including the front field of the Mayon Headquarters, Company Headquarters and Weapons Storage Facility, bathroom areas, building roofs, Type 120 and Type 90 residential units, and the Weapons Storage Facility.
During the site inspection, The Inspectorate General Inspection team also expressed appreciation for the quality and workmanship of the construction delivered by the BIRU team. The assessment highlighted BIRU’s focus not only on achieving physical progress targets, but also on maintaining construction quality, workmanship, and alignment with the operational requirements of the end user.
In addition to the physical site inspection, the The Inspectorate General Inspection team conducted a review and verification of the project’s administrative documentation. The review was carried out to ensure the completeness and compliance of the project records as part of the overall supervision of the construction works.
Based on the site inspection and administrative review, The Inspectorate General Inspection team provided a number of evaluation notes and recommendations for follow-up. These included adjustments and improvements to the field area, security aspects at the Company Headquarters and Weapons Storage Facility, modifications to bathroom facilities, roof protection measures, adjustments to the residential units, as well as the addition of a Weapons Storage Facility and guard post.
President Director of PT BIRU SISTEM PERKASA, Cendra Perkasa, stated that the Supervision and Inspection activity served as an important opportunity for BIRU to continuously evaluate and improve every aspect of project implementation.
The Supervision and Inspection activity concluded with the verification of the project’s administrative documentation. The entire inspection process formed part of the effort to ensure that the construction works were carried out in a transparent, measurable, and accountable manner, while remaining in accordance with established standards and requirements.
Through this activity, PT BIRU SISTEM PERKASA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining quality, workmanship, compliance, and timely project delivery. The evaluation findings and recommendations from The Inspectorate General Inspection team will serve as a basis for further action by the project team in supporting the optimal completion of the construction works in Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi.
