Construction Site Manager
Job Description
BIRU is opening a Construction Site Manager position to lead on-site construction project execution, from planning through project handover. Placement: Project Site (according to project location).
Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Prepare the master schedule, S-curve, and overall project work plan
- Review working drawings and technical specifications, and determine material, equipment, and labor requirements
- Develop technical plans and execution strategies to meet project targets
Field Execution & Supervision
- Lead all on-site construction activities
- Supervise the construction of factories, warehouses, and other industrial buildings
- Ensure structural works and other items meet technical and quality standards
- Evaluate daily/weekly progress and ensure alignment with the time schedule
Cost, Time, and Quality Control
- Control project costs to stay within the approved budget
- Supervise work quality in line with QA/QC standards and contract specifications
- Take corrective action when deviations or delays occur
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with vendors, local residents, and other related parties
- Coordinate and manage the construction team, including craftsmen, foremen, and other workers
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and other stakeholders to keep the project running smoothly
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
- Manage documents: shop drawings, RFIs, as-built drawings, QC documents, and progress administration
- Review and verify subcontractor invoices against work progress
OHS & Risk Management
- Ensure occupational health and safety (K3) is implemented per regulations and company standards
- Identify project risks and apply mitigation measures
- Keep the work area safe and orderly
Project Handover
- Oversee final finishing works and ensure all items are complete
- Ensure completeness of final documents: as-built, final project report, and PHO/FHO documents
- Participate in the project handover process to the Owner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager at a contractor company
- Experience in building residential houses and other buildings
- Construction or project management certification preferred (SKA/SKT, K3), etc.
- Understanding of project management: time schedule, S-curve, WBS, cost and quality control
- Able to read working drawings, RAB, BOQ, and technical specifications
- Strong leadership, communicative, assertive, and able to make quick decisions
- Willing to be placed anywhere in Indonesia
